“Dare to dream ......Then do it” written by John C. Maxwell
inspired me to write more about my life and my experiences. I dare to dream to
become a better special education teacher. Throughout elementary, middle, and
even in high school I had a difficult time in school. My level of reading,
writing, and math skill were below average. When I finally graduated high
school in 2006, I wanted to improve my reading, writing, and math level. I
would always be in public or college libraries researching topics, reading, or
even practicing spelling and pronunciation. I never in my life thought I would
get 4.0 GPA but I did. I still get embarrassed when I can’t help my friends
with their spelling and grammar mistakes, but I’m still improving. I wanted to
show my future students that anyone can get a college degree. As a child, we thought
we would stop learning when we were done with school, but it is the opposite, we
will never stop learning. It’s never too late to go back to school.
